The Ministry of Housing has revealed the details of the new residential project in Al Ta'if, inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz on Sunday, which includes 10,589 housing units on an area of 12 million square meters, stressing that the project will include all government facilities and services, and will make optimal use of the Natural landscape in the area.
The official spokesman of the Ministry of Housing Saif bin Salem Al-Suwailem said in a press statement that the project consists of 6670 villas and 3919 apartments with areas of up to 450 square meters per plots, stressing that the development of the residential district has been initiated in several stages including the current stage, structural development, roads and surfacing road with an area of a Million square meters. The second and third stages will start in the coming weeks, each with a total area of 4 million square meters to a total amount of 12 million square meters.
He explained that the project will be full-fledge in-services with basic facilities according to the highest standards of quality and safety, and will provide infrastructure and premises for government facilities, services and entertainment, adding that it includes a number of kindergartens with an area of 130,412 m 2, elementary schools for( boys and girls )with an area of 132,813 m 2 and intermediate schools, as well as secondary schools for( boys and girls) With a total area of 48,127 m 2. An approximately 127.655 m 2 of land will be allocated for the construction of a mosques, a Friday prayer mosque with an area of 47,630 m 2 and a mosque for Eid prayer.
He added that the project also includes 25 shopping centers on an area of 8320 m2, a 30,150 square meters (30.151 square meters) center, two fuel stations, three ambulances on an area of 7,485 square meters, five health care centers, three police stations, three civil defense centers, two offices, Emirate branch, cultural center,4 postal centers, a municipal branch, a court building, two social centers, two power stations, a wastewater treatment plant and water tanks.
With regard to the location of the project and the geographical nature of it, he stressed that it is 25 km away from the center of Al Ta'if city, and taking into consideration maintaining the natural landscapes of the region and use it to serve the suburban. He pointed out that the project is part of the Ministry of Housing projects, which aims to provide adequate housing and increase citizens' ownership of housing in line with the targets of the Saudi vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020.
It is stated that suburb project comes as a part of the launched projects by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud-may Allah preserve him- in the (Peace Palace) in Jeddah last Sunday as part of the new Ta'if projects, which also includes the new Ta'if airport, the city of Souk Okaz,Taif Techno valley, industrial city and university campus.
