Bringing the number of housing units available in Jeddah projects to more than 50,000 units.
Minister of Housing inaugurates "dahia Al Jawhara" in Jeddah and 40 thousand families benefited from "sakani" in the first quarter of 2019.
The Minister of Housing, Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inaugurated on Monday the Al Jawhara residential district (one of the major sakani projects) which is located north of Jeddah near King Abdullah Sports City. It covers an area of 2 million square meters and provides more than 7,200 housing units, And the Minister sponsored the launch of the Quarterly Residential Forum, which witnessed the announcement of the total number of households that benefited from the housing options provided by the program, where 40 thousand families were able to benefit from these options during the first quarter of this year.
In a press release, the "sakani" program indicated that 14,232 families registered with the Ministry of Housing and REDF benefited from the housing options and financing solutions offered by the program during March, including 7,257 families who lived in their homes. The program has varied programs since the beginning of the year to 40,237 families in various regions of the Kingdom.
The program announced that the names of the beneficiaries and their national identity numbers can be found at https://sakani-names.housing.sa/ or visit the program's portal, which also provides all the details of the various housing options that include prefabricated and under construction units, Subsidized mortgages loans that allow the purchase of ready-made units from the market, self-building and additional loan financing. Citizens benefit from a subsidized loan of 100% for their monthly income of less than 14,000 riyals in addition to other services including free land plots, home finance initiative for military personnel, carrying the value-added tax for the first housing and others.
The "sakani" program reaffirmed that the number of families who benefited during the year 2018 was more than 157 thousand families, and in last January and February 26,005 families have benefited from the program, while continuing to announce more beneficiaries within the "sakani" program on a monthly basis, and the program continues to deliver ready housing units within the projects of the Ministry, and free land.
