"Sakani" delivers more than 2000 land free of charge for citizens in March.
The "Sakani" program of the Ministry of Housing has continued to deliver free residential land to beneficiaries of the program who were allocated to them in the last monthly instalments. In March 2076 lots distributed throughout the Kingdom were delivered.
The program indicated in a press statement today that the delivery included 383 plots of land for eligible citizens in Riyadh, as well as 164 land in the Mecca city, 529 citizens received a free land in Najran city, and in the northern border province 95 land was handed over, 22 land in Asir and 53 in the Qassim region. The Ministry of Housing also handed over 72 residential lands in Al-Baha city, 117 land in the Eastern Province, although 16 citizens in Tabuk and 11 in Al-Jowf have received their land. As for the Medina city, the total of free residential land was delivered 180 land, compared to 202 land in Jizan, and 232 land in the region of Hail.
For his part, the spokesman of the Ministry of Housing Saif bin Salem Al-Suwailem that this step comes as a continuation of the deliveries of the Ministry of the free land in the various provinces with an area ranging from 450 to 2 to 527 per piece, noting that the "Sakani" program announced earlier this year for (207,296 land free of charge) covering all the regions and benefiting from the different segments of the society according to the wishes of the beneficiaries entered in the housing subsidy portal, where deliveries continue in different cities and governorates of the Kingdom.
"The land free of charge is one of the options offered by the "sakani" program to its beneficiaries. The options have been diversified to meet the needs of all registered citizens in housing subsidy programs. These options also include obtaining a ready-made villa within the Ministry's projects, a housing unit under construction in the Ministry's projects in partnership with the private sector, in addition to obtaining home finance (a subsidized loan)to buy a ready-made housing unit from the market, or self-build for land owners, and to transfer additional loan financing to subsidized beneficiaries during their waiting period" He added,.
The e-portal of the "Sakani" program has previously made it possible to choose the appropriate housing plan by the beneficiaries of the free land "grants" according to their wishes and needs, in the framework of the constant endeavor to develop electronic solutions to facilitate for the citizens and the provision of more electronic services for them.
The third stage of the "Sakani 2019" program included the allocation of 200 thousand housing and financing options, including 50 thousand housing units in partnership with the private sector and 50 thousand free residential land, in addition to 100 thousand loans supported by REDF in partnership with banks and financial institutions.
