Minister of Housing is inspecting a number of housing projects in the Eastern Province.
The Minister of Housing, Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, toured a number of (in-progress) "sakani" projects in partnership with the real estate developers in the Eastern Province, during which he supervises the work progress and viewed the projects details and the percentage of completion.
During his tour, he met with the developers and the implementing contractors. He stressed the importance of working on handing over these projects and meeting the timetable set for them in in order to ensure that it will be handed over to the beneficiary citizens during the coming period within the framework of providing adequate housing for citizens, raising the homeownership to 60% by 2020 and 70% by 2030, within the housing program targets.
The Minister of Housing stressed that these projects and other have begun implementation in various parts of the Kingdom which emphasize the ministry's keenness to provide quality housing options at affordable price that meets the needs of citizens registered in their lists. The prices of (in-progress) housing units in the Ministry's projects start from SR250 Thousand to SR750 thousand.
The total allocated to the eastern region since the launch of the «sakani » program year 2017 about 110,754 residential and financing options, including 35,531 home finance (subsidized loan), and 26,445 free residential land, and 4297 ready units, and 44,781 housing units under construction to integrate the infrastructure
The tour began with the visit to «Alwajah » project implemented by Al-Hakimiya for real estate development, on an area of 190,981 m 2 containing 574 ready villas of two-storey, starting at SR530,618 and instalment starting from 1,984 riyals per month. The project provides educational schools, mosques and grand mosque, several gardens and playgrounds for children.
Also commercial facilities, health center, a post office, a civil defense center and a security center to be an integrated residential project that provides for its residents all the services they need. The project is located within the urban areas next to the King Fahd Military Medical Complex near Dammam Riyadh Road, Water, electricity, telecommunications, sewerage system, rainwater drainage system, public utilities, such as green spaces, as well as sites designated to government agencies.
In Dammam, he also visited the "Nasaj Town" project, which is implemented by Ratal Construction Development Company, located in Al Amal neighborhood near the Prince Sultan College of Military Sciences along the Dammam-Riyadh road. It provides 674 housing units of villas with prices ranging from SR530,000, In installments starting from SR1,769 per month. The project provides 9 educational schools, a mosque and 3 grand mosques, in addition to a number of parks, playgrounds for children and commercial facilities,security center and a civil defense center to serve as an integrated residential project that provides residents with all the services they need. It is characterized by integrated infrastructure of road, water, electricity, communications, sewage and drainage systems and public utilities.
The Ministry of Housing announced in early 2017 the launch of the first phase of the "sakani" program, during which more than 282 thousand residential and financial products were allocated. During the last year, Ministry's announced the launch of the second phase of the program for 2018, which allocated 300 housing and financing options thus achieving 100 % of the target year, and came the third phase of the program with the beginning of the current year 2019 to announce the allocation of 200 thousand options included 100 thousand subsidizes loans and 50 thousand free residential land and 50 thousand ready and under construction units from the market.
