The Ministry of Housing's sustainable building platform launched the prefabricated building inspection service, which aims at verifying the apparent quality of the housing unit through an adopted inspection mechanism by certified engineers to inspect the state of prefabricated buildings.Under this examination, a "report" is issued for the housing unit.

The prefabricated inspection service enables beneficiaries such as real estate owners or property owners to request examiner to inspect the existing building through a specific methodology developed by leading international bodies in the field of quality inspection of existing buildings. Based on the results, Of the Saudi Real Estate Institute to clarify the state of the building in its current status, knowing that the service will start in the Riyadh and Jeddah cities, to cover all regions of the Kingdom gradually during the current year.

For the different segments of the beneficiaries, where the researcher helps to make a decision by ensuring the quality of the next housing unit to own, in addition to enable the financial institutions to identify the state of the building that will be funded.

Al-Daoud added that the examiners are being trained in cooperation with the Saudi Real Estate Institute, which launched the first training courses for the examiners in Riyadh and Jeddah aimed at qualifying engineers for the best practices and international inspection procedures and to adopt them as checker in the sustainable building platform. It is worth mentioning that the "Building Quality Inspection" service began this week to receive applications for examination in Jeddah after graduation of the first batch of qualified examiners there.
