More than 10,000 housing and financing options have been allocated to the northern border in less than two years.
The Ministry of Housing has announced the allocation of 10.223 housing and financing options to beneficiaries in the northern border frontier in "sakani" program since the start of last year until the eleventh installment mid-month, noting that this contributes to meet the needs of residents of the region included citizens on the Ministry list.
The ministry said the projects include ready-made housing units and developed land, including four projects launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud -may Allah the Almighty preserve him-, during his visit to the northern border frontier, for more than SAR 690 million, including two housing projects and others for the development of ministerial lands. "Arar housing" offers 254 villas ready for delivery within an integrated residential project. The "Rafha housing" project offers 328 ready-made housing units. These projects are characterized by the integration of water and electricity infrastructure, pavements, lighting and sanitation. It also has mosques, public utilities from green area, gardens and the sites designated for service governmental entities with the establishment of health centers, schools and other centers, according to the requirements of each project.
The ministry clarified that in the previous installments of "sakani" program that it has allocated 924 ready housing units distributed in the Ministry of Housing projects, which include most of the governorates of the region, in addition to 714 housing units under construction in partnership with the private sector. The program also allocated 4740 home finance (subsidized loans) in partnership with banks and financial institutions.
She pointed out that "sakani" program has provided 3234 free land distributed in the various centers of the northern border and its provinces, indicating that this option provides citizens with access to improved land for those wishing to build their homes, and program allows all citizens the opportunity to buy a ready housing unit from the market or "self-building" for those who own land, and get a home finance of up to 500 thousand riyals supported profits by 100% for those who are less than 14 thousand riyals, through the Real Estate Development Fund in partnership with the banks and financial institutions.
The housing project offered by the ministry in the northern border frontier highlights the "Arar Housing" project, which includes 254 two-storey prefabricated villas on an area of 500 m2 and provides 722 plots of land. The Ministry has also established " Rafha housing". In addition to 104 plots of developed land to the " Tarif Housing " project, which provided 342 housing units ready for delivery, and these projects are characterized by the integration of infrastructure of road networks, water, electricity, communications and sewage network and drainage system, and public utilities that contain such as green area, as well as water reality that has been allocated to government bodies. It also offers mosques and grand mosques, as well as a number of public parks, children's playgrounds and commercial facilities.
In addition to the prefabricated units' projects, the Ministry of Housing announced during the previous installments of "sakani" program the availability of a project for residential units under construction in the Arar city. The "Makarim Arar" project which provides 383 residential villas under construction through partnership with the private sector. Characterized by a multiplicity of models, and prices starting from SAR 436 thousand.
